To My Sisters

Did you not know that you were called for such a time like this?

Wake up queen, don’t let it bother you sis.

Your pearls are part of a royal history, like Esther your legacy reaches past what the eye can see.

Trouble may come in the form of weather or losses and when we weather through the storm that resurges as we remember those losses.

But our strength is found in our testimony. Our power is found in His blood, no voluntary or involuntary stereotype or man-made flaw can take away his love. No, we didn’t lose our power when the system turns it off, we gain our hustle when we survive at all costs.

Wisdom is great and the best form comes in pain, no this isn’t toxic I’m not telling you to love what you didn’t gain…I’m telling you to remember your name—royal priesthood chosen generation—situated at the highest mountain 19hundred and 22 miles of inspiration woven through our skin through rhythm of our voice wrapped in the twinkle of our eyes so of course we will rise again like Job despite what we lost.

So in our victory in our triumph intertwined with our tragedy and wrapped in His love— I remind myself that deep in my heart I do believe that we shall overcome.
