About Me.

Originally from Houston, TX, Ugochi Emenaha (Writer//Educator//Speaker) is the author Brave  (2022), Beautiful (105 Publishing, 2020), winner of the 2018 Educator of the Year Award and Honorary Member of the the Texas Writers' Anthology.  She has a doctoral degree from Baylor University and  has taught Writing (and Reading) for Middle School students and teachers across the state of Texas. Dr. Emenaha has received fellowships from Teach Plus PolicyGood Reason to Lead Fellowship and the 1st Annual Writers in the Schools, A Seat at the Table: Texas Writers Lab. 

Dr. Emenaha  is a published writer,  and uses her writing to reflect her experiences as a 2nd Generation Nigerian American educator and single parent.
