A Prayer for USAll

I wanted to pray for all of the boys/men of color in my life, so here we go...

Father in Heaven,

I pray that you stand over every son, brother, father, or friend of the people in this message. I pray that you set a hedge of protection over them as they live their life. I pray that you ordered their steps so that they are walking in the path that is leading them to their God ordained destiny. I know that you said he that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide by the shadow of the Almighty. Place our men in your shadow, place them in your secret place of protection. Not so that they will be hidden, but so that they can live.

I pray that every person reading this message is renewed in your hope, and is strengthened like an eagle to give of their money, time, or voice so that justice is heard. I pray that you give us peace to enjoy life and not live in fear, no matter where we are what we are doing or what we look like.

Those of us that are leaders, bless us so that we may lead.

Those of us who are givers, bless us so that we can give to this cause.

Those of us who feel powerless, give us power so that we may walk with our head held high again.

I pray for protection over our husbands, our fathers, our sons, our friends and ourselves.

Those who have already suffered loss, renew them-- You are the father to the fatherless. And as our country seems fatherless to this injustice-- make your presence known.

In the Mighty Never failing name of God I pray.
